OVA Technical Assistance and Training
OVA provides a variety of training programs to prepare communities and allied professionals to work and communicate effectively with victims while promoting pathways to hope and healing.
OVA is available to travel to your county or agency to provide trainings surrounding victims' rights and services.
To schedule a training, please call or email us. Virtual options are also available.
OVA offers this training for our Community Corrections partners. In this training participants will learn from OVA and domestic violence experts from the PA Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) and a cyber security expert on intimate partner violence, the details of cyberstalking, and a look at vicarious trauma and tools to build resiliency.
OVA partners with the PA Department of Corrections bring various classes to state correctional facilities across the state. These programs are aimed to raise awareness of the long-term effects that crime has on victims/survivors, their families and communities. They are designed to increase the level of accountability and empathy, while often providing a healing platform for survivors to share their experiences.
The Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) provides victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking or stalking with an alternate mailing address to keep their actual home address out of public records where their perpetrator may find their location. OVA offers an Overview of ACP for Victim Service providers, and any agency who may help victims.
