PWA

The Pennsylvania Winery Association (PWA) is a non-profit trade association and an advocate on behalf of the state's growing multi-billion dollar wine industry. The PWA continues to promote the wine industry through advertising and promotions, including engaging activities and competitions. Regional promotional activities with tourism partners and seasonal promotion with agency partners expanded the reach of the efforts. Penn State

The PWMRP is proud to partner with the Penn State Extension and Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences. The school's wine and grape team is committed to research and creating new solutions to address viticulture and enology issues facing the state's grape and wine industry. The Extension also provides educational resources based on research findings to stakeholders through in-person and online workshops and seminars.

PLCB

The PLCB is governed by a three-member Board whose members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by two-thirds of the state Senate.

The Board regulates – through a selective licensing process – more than 15,000 retail licensees including restaurants, taverns, hotels, clubs, etc., and more than 1,250 wholesale licensees in the Commonwealth.

In an effort to support local wineries, the PLCB, in conjunction with the PWA operates a PA Preferred Wine Program, which allows PA Preferred designated wineries the opportunity to sell up to 10 varietals in a select number of Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. PA Department of Agriculture

The Department of Agriculture provides all legal and administrative support to oversee the collection and distribution of producer assessments through marketing and research projects.  Producer assessments are paid annually based on either acres produced or volume of crop harvested.  The Department provides administrate management & support for programs.

The Department also leads the PA Preferred program, a public-private partnership with many companies throughout the Commonwealth. Contact the Department to see how your wines can be part of this local-grown program.

 

Wine America

The mission of Wine America is to encourage the dynamic growth and development of American wineries and wine-growing through the advancement and advocacy of sound public policy. With more than 600 members, Wine America serves the interests of wineries in all 50 states by leveraging its formidable grassroots lobbying strength to benefit the entire industry.
