PA Odor Management Program Public Notices

Odor Management Plans Currently Under Review by the State Conservation

The agricultural operations listed in the below chart have submitted odor management plans (OMPs) for approval under the act of July 6, 2005 (Act 38 of 2005, 3 Pa.C.S. §§ 501-522) (hereinafter referred to as Act 38)

Based upon preliminary reviews, the State Conservation Commission (SCC) has completed an administrative review of the OMPs described below. These OMPs are currently under review by the SCC and are available to the public through the submission of a formal Right-To-Know request to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Persons wishing to comment on an OMP are invited to submit a written statement outlining their comments on the plan to the SCC’s Odor Management Program office within 21 days of the notice date outlined in the below chart for the given plan. Persons with a question relating to the submission of comments on a plan under review may contact the SCC Odor Management Program office by phone to discuss the process for the submission of comments. Comments should include the name, address and telephone number of the writer, and a concise statement to inform the SCC of the exact basis of the comments and the relevant facts upon which they are based.

Persons with a disability who wish to provide comments and require an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodation to participate in the proceedings should contact the specified program. TDD users should contact the Department through the Pennsylvania AT&T Relay Service at (800) 654-5984.

The address for the SCC’s Odor Management Program office is the Pennsylvania Agriculture Building, State Conservation Commission, 2301 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110-94081. The phone number for the SCC’s Odor Management Program Coordinator (Karl Dymond) is 215-287-4564.
