The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Regional Offices serve as liaisons and executive staff responsible for communicating the agency’s strategic priorities to our constituents and external stakeholders. Regional Directors also engage the public and identify critical and emerging issues for the agency.
The Western, Central and Eastern Region each represents approximately one third of the Commonwealth, and although each region is unique, there are common services all constituents can expect:
- Answers to requests for guidance, technical assistance, and advocacy.
- Focus on resilient food systems, particularly for food insecure communities in every region.
- Updates and information via outreach, events, and programs to promote the industry.
- Support for farm vitality, market access, talent and growth.
In addition, PDA’s Regional Directors are assigned special projects to help shape agriculture’s focus on statewide policy, community capacity and economic development. Agriculture innovation is advanced through rural development, workforce development and urban agriculture development activities.
