Every month, the Senior Food Box Program gives senior citizens food like milk, meat, veggies, pasta, and cereal. The USDA's Commodity Supplemental Food Program helps this program by buying food and giving it to the Department of Agriculture for the Senior Food Box Program. The Department of Agriculture then works with agencies to give out the boxes.
If you are a senior and want to be apart of the program, you should call 800-468-2433 to reach your local food bank. You can also fill out a form and email it to srfoodbox@pa.gov. Please put "SENIOR FOOD BOX APPLICATION" in the subject of the email.
