What We Do

Our Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program ensures that Pennsylvania is prepared for incidents at nuclear power plants by:

  • Preparing and distributing our nuclear/radiological plan
  • Keeping state departments and agencies up-to-date on plans on procedures to respond to incidents
  • Reviewing and updating safety plans for counties, municipal governments, and school districts
  • Holding preparation drills and exercises
  • Reviewing grant opportunities
