Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to participate in a Virtual Plans Display for the replacement of the pedestrian bridge over Interstate 70 – from Ross Street to Carson Street – in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County.
The proposed project consists of replacing the existing Thru Truss pedestrian bridge and ADA facilities and updating the drainage. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured during construction.
Information on the Rostraver Township Pedestrian Bridge replacement project includes a short overview including project information, anticipated design and construction schedules, and a location map. An online comment form can be accessed via the PennDOT website from Tuesday, December 12 until Tuesday, December 26.

The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project and receive public input regarding any questions or concerns with the project. It is also an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project's potential effect upon Cultural Resources pursuant to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's 36 CFR Part 800 regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
The project documents will be made available in alternative languages or formats if requested.
