Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead bridge construction is planned on Tacony Street in Northeast Philadelphia under PennDOT’s $270 million I-95/BS2 project that will reconstruct I-95 in both directions from Margaret Street to Carver Street.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Saturday, January 11, and Saturday, January 18, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tacony Street will be closed between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
