King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Pottstown Borough Authority is planning utility construction on Armand Hammer Boulevard in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, January 13.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, January 13, through Friday, January 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Armand Hammer Boulevard will be closed and detoured between Cherry Lane and High Street. During the closure, passenger vehicles will be directed to use Cherry Lane and Moser Road. Truck traffic will be directed by flagging.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Pottstown Borough Authority will complete this work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
