King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are planned on Route 926 (Street Road) and Kutztown Road in Chester and Montgomery counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Saturday, December 14 and Monday, December 16, though Friday, December 20, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) and Route 10 (Limestone Road) in Upper Oxford and Londonderry townships, Chester County, for base repair.
- Monday, December 16, through Friday, December 20, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Kutztown Road between Route 663 (Layfield Road) and the Berks County line in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County, for milling and paving.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
