North Shore (Route 65) Bridges Project
Project Overview
This project includes bridge preservation activities to three structures adjacent to the Fort Duquesne Bridge as well as bridge preservation activities to the Fort Duquesne Bridge (top and bottom) where they intersect with the SR 65 structures. Two structures carry Route 65 Northbound and Southbound and the third structure (Ramp A) carries traffic to Reedsdale Street from the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
Anticipated bridge preservation activities include expansion joint replacement, deteriorated concrete repairs to underside and top of the bridge deck, deck sealing, and identified maintenance repairs to concrete/steel/bridge elements. The project may also include scupper/downspout repairs, drainage and guiderail updates/upgrades, signing, lighting, and pavement markings.
