The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to a virtual online plans display for the bridge replacement carrying SR 1015 (Field Brook Road) over Field Brook in Nicholson Township, Wyoming County.

SR 1015 (Field Brook Road) crosses over Field Brook in Wyoming County. The existing structure is a 1-span Steel I-Beam Stringer Bridge built in 1941 with a span length of 32'. The existing bridge is currently weight restricted and posted for a limit of 4 tons.

This bridge replacement will alleviate any current weight restrictions and provide a structure that meets current design standards. The proposed bridge is a two-lane bridge with 2-10' lanes and 2-3' shoulders. This project will also include approximately 300' of full depth paving on the roadway approaches and relocation of the existing 6" Sunoco gas transmission line.

The bridge is anticipated to be closed during the 2026 construction season for approximately 3 months. During construction, traffic will be detoured using state roads. The 14.5-mile detour will include SR 92, SR 1011 (W Nicholson Rd), SR 2001, and SR 2003. Access to driveways and businesses within and near the work area will remain open during construction.

The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project, describe the maintenance of traffic during construction, and receive public input regarding any questions or concerns with the project. The plans will be made available to the public from March 25, 2024 to April 22, 2024.

The public is encouraged to respond to the public questionnaire and provide comments by clicking on the Public Questionnaire to be completed by hand and mailed to the address at the bottom of the form.

The project documents will be made available in alternative languages or formats if requested. If you need translation/interpretation services or have special needs or have special concerns that require individual attention, please contact PennDOT Project Manager Joe Spall, at jospall@pa.gov or 570.335.9242.
