The project involves the reconfiguration of two intersections spaced approximately 150 feet apart along Concord Road (SR 3007). The western intersection is a T-intersection consisting of Concord Road on the eastern and western approaches and Foulk Road (SR 3029) on the southern approach. The eastern four-way intersection consists of Concord Road on the eastern and western approaches, Valleybrooke Road (SR 3029) on the northern approach, and Chelsea Road (SR 3031) on the southern approach. The proposed project is anticipated to replace the existing configuration with a 5-legged roundabout.
The project includes intersection improvements at the Concord Road/Bethel Road intersection and Concord Road/Engle Street. A Roundabout is proposed at Concord/ Bethel Roads and stop controlled intersection Improvements are proposed at Concord Road/ Engle Street. The project will involve minor roadway approach widening, right-of-way acquisition, and utility relocations.
The proposed project includes intersection improvements at the Concord Road/Bridgewater Road intersection consisting of roadway widening to accommodate new and longer turn lanes and upgraded traffic signal equipment. Designated right turn lanes will be added to both sides of Bridgewater Road and designated left turn lane queues will be lengthened. The project will also involve drainage upgrades, new signing and pavement markings, right-of-way acquisition, and utility relocations.
The proposed project includes intersection improvements at the Concord Road/McDonald Blvd intersection and Concord Road/Sunfield Drive/WestRock driveway. The proposed improvement is paired roundabouts, one at each of the intersections, approximately 300 feet apart. The project will involve the construction of two roundabouts, right-of-way acquisition, and utility relocations.
