DISTRICT 6 PROJECTS

Manor and Reeceville and Cedar Knoll Roads Roundabouts

Project Overview

The project involves the reconstruction of the intersection of Manor Road (Route 82) and Cedar Knoll Road/Reeceville Road (SR-4005) in West Brandywine Township, Chester County, PA from a two-way stop-controlled intersection to a modern roundabout. The proposed roundabout will improve sight distances at the intersection, reduce the number of conflict points, and reduce the severity of crashes at the intersection.

The proposed scope of work includes:

  • Replacement of the existing two-way stop-controlled intersection with a single-lane roundabout
  • Full-depth pavement reconstruction
  • New drainage facilities
  • New intersection lighting

The project will be built utilizing a partial detour, closing Reeceville Road and Cedar Knoll Road (SR 4005) for a portion of the construction duration.
