Route 663 and Allentown Road Intersection Improvements

Project Overview

The Route 663 (John Fries Highway) SEC VY2 project consists of the approximately 2,640 feet of roadway reconstruction of Route 663 (John Fries Highway) between Milford Square Pike and Mill Hill Road and approximately 800 feet of roadway reconstruction of Allentown Road. 

The project includes reconstruction of the Route 663 (John Fries Highway) and Allentown Road intersection, including adding dedicated left turn lanes at all four approaches, replacement of the Route 663 (John Fries Highway) and Allentown Road bridges over Unami and Licking Creeks, replacement of the traffic signals, as well as drainage and guide rail upgrades. The project is in the final design phase and acquisition of right-of-way, permitting, utility relocation coordination work is underway.

Public Outreach

PennDOT held a virtual public meeting on Thursday, November 30, 2023, for the upcoming project to reconstruct and improve the Route 663 (John Fries Highway) and Allentown Road Intersection and its approaches in Milford Township, Bucks County.
