PennDOT and the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) hosted a public meeting for the U.S. 219 Meyersdale to Old Salisbury Road Project. The meeting was held on Thursday, November 16th, at the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department Station 618, 385 Ord St., Salisbury, PA 15558.
At this meeting, the public was invited to review the project team's progress since the June 2022 Public Meetings and the updated proposed alternatives to continue carrying through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The team presented their findings from the environmental resource research and documentation of the impacts to those resources. The project team welcomed all questions and comments from the public on the proposed project.
