Chairwoman
Maria P. Donatucci was nominated to the State Civil Service Commission by Governor Tom Wolf and confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Senate on May 25, 2021. She was subsequently named Chairwoman by Governor Wolf on May 26, 2021. Chairwoman Donatucci was sworn into office on June 10, 2021.
Chairwoman Donatucci previously served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 185th Legislative District and served as Chair of the Philadelphia Legislative Delegation. She possesses extensive governmental experience involving legislative matters, as well as, has worked for the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority and Philadelphia Bureau of Administrative Adjudication at which she served as an adjudicator and supervisor.
Chairwoman Donatucci has provided decades of exemplary public service. While in elective office, she made public safety a cornerstone of her legislative priorities. She was the prime sponsor of legislation that led to Act 30 of 2016, which was designed to better protect the identity of crime victims, witnesses, and other citizens calling 911. She also served as prime legislative sponsor for numerous bills providing equal pay for equal work and paid sick leave.
Chairwoman Donatucci attended the Philadelphia College of Art, Philadelphia Community College, Pierce Junior College, and Temple University.
Gregory M. Lane
Commissioner
Gregory M. Lane was re-nominated by Governor Tom Wolf on January 25, 2021, to serve a second term as a member of the State Civil Service Commission. He was sworn into office on June 23, 2021.
Commissioner Lane was initially nominated to serve as a member by former Governor Tom Corbett and confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Senate on October 7, 2014. He was sworn into office on October 28, 2014.
Commissioner Lane spent 22 years in various roles with Price Waterhouse LLP, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd., and as the Director of Human Resources at Aegis Group. Commissioner Lane has worked as a consultant advising small businesses on legal, financial, human resource and compliance matters.
Commissioner Lane earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Boston University, a Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law and is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania. Commissioner Lane also served on the Board of Directors for the Bridge Educational Foundation; a Harrisburg based scholarship organization.
Pamela M. Iovino
Commissioner
Pamela M. Iovino was nominated to serve as a member of the State Civil Service Commission by Governor Tom Wolf on October 14, 2022 and confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Senate on October 26, 2022. As the Commission's statutorily required veteran member, she also serves as veteran advocate. Commissioner Iovino was sworn into office on December 22, 2022.
Commissioner Iovino previously served as Deputy Secretary for Regulatory Programs and Executive Deputy Secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of State. In her role as Executive Deputy Secretary, she managed and supervised the agency's day-to-day administrative and programmatic operations, and agency strategic policy development and implementation.
Prior to her service at the Department of State, Commissioner Iovino served as an Adjunct Professor at Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Director of Veterans' Services for Allegheny County; and was elected in a special election and served as a Pennsylvania State Senator representing the 37th State Senatorial District, serving Allegheny (part) and Washington (part) Counties.
Commissioner Iovino dedicated her professional life to public service representing the interests of veterans at the federal and local levels. She is a military service veteran and obtained the rank of Captain in the United States (U.S.) Navy before retiring in 2003 after 23 years of service. She subsequently was nominated by former President George W. Bush, unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate, and served as Assistant Secretary for Congressional Affairs at the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. In this role, she served as chief legislative advocate for the nation's 25 million veterans.
Commissioner Iovino holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College and a Master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. She is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh and served as a Board Member of the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania and Adagio Health. She has also served as a member of the Governor's Pennsylvania Commission for Women, the Special Education Funding Commission, the Council of Arts, the Emergency Management Council, and the 911 Advisory Board.
