- Please include your preferred deadline, keeping in mind that we require 4-6 weeks to process a request.
- If using the online form, please choose Greeting/Proclamation Request in the Message Topic dropdown field. In the Comment Box, indicate whether you would like a digital PDF, a mailed hard copy, or both.
- If you are making the request for someone else, please be sure to enter YOUR contact information on the form. The Correspondence Office will communicate with you directly should additional information or draft language be required.
Proclamation
A proclamation is an official declaration supporting an advocacy effort for a specified period of time.
Greeting or Citation
A greeting/citation is a message honoring a specific person, group, or event.
Request Requirements

- Date of event
- Location of the event
- Brief summary of the host organization
- Reason for the event
- Website for the organization or event

- Name of the person being honored
- Brief bio of the person being honored
- Summary of the host organization
- Reason for the recognition
- Website for the organization or event

- Brief description of why the issue is significant
- Who will benefit from the awareness or advocacy
- Website for the organization
- How will the Governor’s message be shared (on social media, at an event, etc.)

- Celebrant’s name
- Mailing address
- Date of birth
- Age turning
If this is a surprise, be sure to enter YOUR name and contact info in the appropriate fields, and add the celebrant’s name and address in the Comment box.
