Apply to Install Ethanol-85 Tanks & Related Equipment

If the installation of flammable and combustible (F&C) liquid tanks, pumps or dispensers involve the use of Ethanol-85, you must submit an additional installation form with L&I's Boiler Division.

About Ethanol-85 Installation

All tanks, piping, and associated hardware being installed must be compatible for the use of Ethanol-85.

Contractors must submit an application with L&I for approval before installing, replacing, or relocating any tank, pump, or dispenser that involves flammable and combustible (F&C) liquids.

If the installation involves Ethanol-85 tanks and equipment, an additional E85 installation form must be submitted with the corresponding submission documents.

Ethanol-85, also known as flex fuel, is a high-level combination of ethanol and gasoline that consists of 51% to 83% ethanol.
