    Request to Terminate Your State Forest Campsite Lease

    If you want to terminate your state forest campsite lease, contact the leased campsite administrator at the forest district office.

    Overview

    A lease can be terminated at the request of the lessee. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) recommends you contact your local forest district office to discuss the matter.

    A lease also can be terminated for any violation of the provisions set forth in the lease and/or the Guidelines for Leased Forest Campsites . DCNR also reserves the right to terminate a lease if it determines that a site is needed for a higher public use.
