Report a Drug-related Death as a Coroner

County coroners or medical examiners are required to report all MOUD-related deaths to the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs' Medication Death and Incident Review (MDAIR) Team.

Overview

In accordance with Act 126 of 2020, coroners must report any death where buprenorphine, methadone, or naltrexone was a main cause, secondary cause, or contributing factor. 

The information submitted is confidential and will be reviewed only by appropriate personnel.  Information submitted follows all Commonwealth security policies and procedures.
