The PSERS Member Self-Service (MSS) Portal offers you secure, convenient, 24/7 access to your pension account. With the MSS Portal, you can conduct many transactions online instead of filling out paper forms or contacting PSERS.
Plus, you will receive instant confirmation for all of your transactions, instead of waiting for confirmation to be mailed to you.
Manage Your Account in the MSS Portal
At whatever stage of your retirement journey with PSERS, you can manage your PSERS retirement account through the MSS Portal.
In your MSS account, you can:
- Manage and update your personal information—phone numbers, email address, and mailing address.
- Nominate or update beneficiary(ies).
- Elect paperless delivery.
- Access documents and correspondence from PSERS.
- Receive personalized alerts about your account.
- View a summary of your account.
- Send us a secure message.
If you are an active member and eligible, you can:
- Elect a membership class.
- Elect multiple service membership.
- Create personalized retirement estimates.
- Access your PSERS defined contribution account.
- Track the status of your retirement application, request for retirement estimate, or refund application.
If you are a retired member, you can:
- Change your federal tax withholding.
- Change your direct deposit information.
- Generate income verifications.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you are new to PSERS, your PSERS ID is printed on the materials in your Welcome Packet. Otherwise, look for your PSERS ID on the top of any recent PSERS correspondence.
You may also connect with PSERS at 1.888.773.7748 to have your ID mailed to you.
Ensure you receive important updates from PSERS by:
1. Checking your Spam folder.
2. Adding the following email addresses to your email contacts:

With Paperless Delivery, you will receive an email from PSERS when a document is available in your MSS account instead of receiving a physical document through the mail.
Going paperless gives you immediate access to your PSERS account and eliminates the risk of losing or delaying receipt of important documents in the mail. You can change your selection at any time.
You select your Paperless Delivery option when you register for MSS. If you would like to receive documents via the US mail instead of electronically, you may opt out of paperless by clicking the dropdown and selecting “Mail Only.”
