    Overview

    Act 235 provides for the training and licensing of:

    • Watch guards
    • Protective patrolmen
    • Detectives
    • Criminal Investigators

    in carrying and using lethal weapons in their employment.

    Facilities that want to provide Act 235 lethal weapon training must be certified by the PSP Lethal Weapons Certification Unit.
