PA-SHARE SearchLite
SearchLite is a simplified application that allows users to search for a subset of PA-SHARE data related to above ground resources and reports. Archaeological resources and reports are not available through SearchLite. To begin, select the search type. Multiple counties and municipalities can be selected to build a search. Keyword searches can include current and historic names, resource/report number, and address. For resources, search results will show resource name, type, eligibility, county and municipality. For reports, search results will show report title, author, date, type, county and municipality. All search results include a link to an abbreviated resource (RE) or report (RP) record.
Users can view National Register of Historic Places nominations, historic contexts, and Multiple Property Documentation Forms (MPDFs) through SearchLite. If you are interested in viewing complete resource and report records and attachments, you will need to register for PA-SHARE and search by the resource (RE) or report (RP) number.
You can find PA-SHARE SearchLite at https://share.phmc.pa.gov/search-lite/.
PHMC Marker Search
The historical marker search application allows you to search the PA-SHARE historical marker database by keyword, county/municipality, marker category, and marker missing. The keyword search feature searches by title, location and marker text. The Pennsylvania Historical Marker program has been in existence for more than 100 years. Some of our earlier markers may contain outdated cultural references. The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission is working to address this situation and will update markers as resources allow.
