    We administer grants for reducing the risk to life and property for individuals and communities in Pennsylvania.

    Our mitigation team administers disaster and non-disaster grant programs to reduce risk to life and property for individuals and communities.

    Projects

    Some of the mitigation project types that are fundable under our grants are:

    • Community Generator/Power Generation Projects
    • Community Stormwater Management Projects
    • Community Streambank Stabilization
    • Flood studies
    • Home Acquisitions
    • Home Elevations
    • Home Mitigation & Reconstruction
    • Levee Enhancements
    • Project Scoping/Advance Assistance

    What About Generators?

    These grant programs are not the best ones to try to use for generator funding. They're low in priority when compared to other projects vying for the same funding.

    Instead, contact the Department of General Services to see if your organization is registered with the federal surplus program.

    Once your organization is verified, a generator can usually be optained at little to no cost.
