Troops in Pennsylvania

A Troop is an administrative boundary containing all the stations in a geographical area spanning several counties. Troops are named with a letter designation. Troop T is a special group of stations whose personnel patrol the PA Turnpike and its related highways. Expand the sections below for descriptions of each Troop's area.

Troop C covers the counties of McKean, Forest, Elk, Clarion, Jefferson, and Clearfield; the townships of West Mahoning, North Mahoning, Canoe, and Banks and the boroughs of Smicksburg and Glen Campbell in Indiana County; part of Mead Township in Warren County (bounded on the north by the New York State line, on the east by the McKean County line, and on the south by the intrusion of a branch of the Allegheny Reservoir near SR 321); and Interstate 80 through Butler County.

Troop D covers the counties of Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer, and Armstrong; the townships of Frazer, Fawn, Springdale, Harrison, and East Deer, the boroughs of Brackenridge and Tarentum, and SR 28 from Armstrong County line to Pittsburgh city limits; and Interstate 80 through Venango County.

Troop E covers the counties of Venango, Crawford, Erie, and Warren (except part of Mead Township bounded on the north by the New York State line, on the east by the McKean County line, and on the south by the intrusion of a branch of the Allegheny Reservoir near SR 321).

Troop F covers the counties of Cameron, Clinton, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Snyder, Tioga, and Union.

Troop N covers the counties of Columbia, Carbon, southern Luzerne, and Monroe.

Troop P covers the counties of Wyoming, Bradford, Sullivan, and the northern part of Luzerne County (which includes the townships of Nescopeck, Conyngham, Newport, Slocum, Hanover, and Bear Creek, and all other municipalities in or north of these townships). 

Troop R covers the counties of Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna.

Troop J covers Lancaster, Chester and York counties in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Troop K covers the counties of Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware.

Troop L covers the counties of Berks, Lebanon, and Schuylkill.

Troop M covers Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties.

Troop G covers the counties of Centre, Blair, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Bedford, and Fulton.

Troop H covers the counties of Perry, Cumberland, Dauphin, Adams, and Franklin.

Troop A covers the counties of Cambria, Indiana (except the townships of West Mahoning, North Mahoning, Canoe, and Banks, and the boroughs of Smicksburg and Glen Campbell), Somerset, and Westmoreland (except townships of Rostraver and South Huntingdon, the boroughs of Smithton, West Newton, and North Belle Vernon, the city of Monessen, and Interstate 70).

Troop B covers the counties of Allegheny (except the townships of Frazer, Fawn, Springdale, Harrison, and East Deer, the boroughs of Brackenridge and Tarentum, and SR 28), Fayette, Greene, and Washington; and the townships of Rostraver and South Huntingdon, the boroughs of Smithton, West Newton, and North Belle Vernon, the city of Monessen, and Interstate 70 in Westmoreland County.
