    Note that new charter schools open at various times during a six year monitoring cycle and may not have been monitored yet. Therefore, no reports are posted for those schools.

    The cyclical monitoring documents posted on this website are the cover letter sent with the monitoring report to the superintendent or charter school chief executive officer, an Executive Summary that describes overall findings, and the Corrective Action Verification Plan (CAVP) that includes detailed findings by topical areas. When all corrective action is completed by the school district or charter school, the BSE issues a closure letter; if applicable, that letter is also posted here.

    Annual Reports

    The Restraint Information System Collection (RISC) is a data collection system for all restraints across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania occurring with school-aged students in educational programs that have an Individualized Education Program (IEP). RISC was developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), in conjunction with recommendations from the state Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP). Annually, these reports are presented to the Secretary of Education.
