    There are four designated State Forest Picnic Areas located within the Bald Eagle State Forest.

    Snyder County:

    • Rock Springs Picnic Area
    • Snyder-Middleswarth Picnic Area

    Fishing is available in Swift Run at the Snyder-Middleswarth Picnic Area.

    Centre County:

    • Hairy Johns Picnic Area

    Mifflin County:

    • Bear Gap Picnic Area

    Fishing is available in Treaster Run at the Bear Gap Picnic Area.

    Clinton County:

    • Picnic tables and grills also are found at the Tea Springs Trailhead​​
