    The Big Elk Creek is designated as a High-Quality Stream for its excellent water quality. It is stocked for trout and offers great streamside access for new and experienced fishing enthusiasts alike. The easiest fishing access is down Springlawn Trail, but other locations can be found by hiking further into the southern portion of the park.
