The project involves safety improvements along Route 739, Section WID (Valley Road) from Pike County Boulevard to Route 6 (Grand Army of the Republic Highway) in Blooming Grove Township, Pike County, PA. The purpose of the project is to provide safety improvements along Route 739 to facilitate an anticipated increase in truck traffic from the construction of the PennDOT Maintenance Facility on Pike County Boulevard.

Proposed safety improvements consist of widening existing shoulders along Route 739 to four and one-half feet, constructing Safety Edge treatments along the widened shoulders, installing milled edge line rumble strips, and improving the existing drainage system. Other work includes excavation, full depth bituminous paving, landscaping, E & S Control measures, temporary traffic control, signing, pavement markings and other miscellaneous construction for a total length of 1.852 Miles.
