    This project, located in Concord and Chadds Ford Townships, Delaware County, involves intersection improvements to ease congestion. Improvements include pavement widening and signal improvements to accommodate an additional northbound U.S. 1 lane traveling through the intersection with U.S. 202, and a double left-turn lane for northbound U.S. 202 to southbound U.S. 1.

    Other roadway improvements include:

    • Landscaped medians throughout the project area
    • Dedicated left-turn lanes from Brandywine Drive and State Farm Drive to U.S. 202
    • Signal improvements, sidewalks, and pedestrian crossing at the  U.S. 202/State Farm Drive/Brandywine Drive intersection
    • Signal improvements and pedestrian crossing at the U.S. 1/Applied Bank Boulevard/State Farm Drive intersection
    • Removal of a concrete island at the U.S. 1/Applied Bank Boulevard/State Farm Drive intersection
    • Elimination of the southbound U.S. 1 left turn lane to Dickinson Drive.
