The Interstate Water Resources Management Division delivers planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of statewide policy and program activities to promote interagency and interstate cooperation of shared water and coastal resource issues. The Special Projects Section coordinates Pennsylvania’s participation in interstate river basins and associations including federal interstate river basin compacts and commissions, and other interstate water resource activities. The Coastal Resources Management Program Section manages activities in the two coastal areas in the southeast and northwest corners of the state. The Water Use and Planning Section is responsible for State Water Plan program activities and provides support for Commonwealth drought monitoring, reporting and management activities during drought emergencies proclaimed by the Governor.
