Drug Take-Back Program

In 2018, nearly 4,500 Pennsylvanians died from drug-related overdoses, equating to 12 deaths each day. While progress is being made (2018 saw an 18% decrease in drug-related overdose deaths compared to 2017) there’s still more work to be done.

To find the most effective and environmentally safe way to dispose of unused prescription medicines, including opioids, please visit The Pennsylvania Prescription Drug Take-Back Program. Or, contact your local law enforcement office to find out if they have established a permanent collection location for unwanted or expired drugs.
