    This project replaces the existing bridge that carries Pickering Dam Road over an unnamed tributary to Pickering Creek in Charlestown Township, Chester County. The existing 19-foot span, concrete-encased steel I-beam structure was built in 1918. The bridge is in overall poor condition and is posted with weight restrictions.

    As part of the proposed construction:

    • The new structure will be slightly widened,
    • New guide rail and end treatments will be installed, and
    • Drainage facilities will be improved.
