The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to an online plans display regarding the Route 2031 (Lisburn Road) bridge rehabilitation project. This project is located over Cedar Run in Lower Allen Township, approximately 1.5 miles south of Camp Hill, PA.
The purpose of this project is to address structural deficiencies of the bridge and provide continued safe and efficient crossing of Route 2031 over Cedar Run.
The project consists of replacing the superstructure of the single span Non-Composite Prestressed Concrete Adjacent Box Beam bridge with a single span prestressed Concrete Spread Box Beam bridge. New approach pavement overlays, sidewalk, guide rail, and curb ramp updates will be included in the project. The width of the lanes are proposed as 11 feet throughout the length of the project until they transition back into existing widths. The bridge will be closed for approximately 4 months to all traffic during construction. The proposed detour route will use Carlisle Road (Route 2018) to Creek Road (Route 2033).
The project is currently in design and construction work is expected to take place in the 2027 construction season.
A digital version of the information will be available to view online from August 20, 2025, to September 19, 2025.
