The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to an online plans display regarding the Route 2019 / Route 4020 (Forge Road / Old Forge Road) bridge rehabilitation project. This project is located over Yellow Breeches Creek in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, and Fairview Township, York County, approximately 1.0-mile northwest of Lisburn, PA.

The purpose of this project is to address structural deficiencies of the bridge and provide continued safe and efficient crossing of Route 2019, Section 021 over Yellow Breeches Creek.

The project consists of replacing the superstructure of the two span Non-Composite Prestressed Concrete Adjacent Box Beam bridge with a two-span prestressed Concrete Spread Box Beam bridge. New approach pavement overlays and guide rail will be included in the project. The width of the lanes are proposed as 11 feet throughout the length of the project until they transition back into existing widths. The bridge will be closed for approximately 4 months to all traffic during construction. The proposed detour route will use Lisburn Road (Route 2017) to Main Street/Cedars Road (Route 114) to Old Stage Road (Route 4025).

The project is currently in design and construction work is expected to take place in the 2028 construction season.

A plans display will be held online only. A digital version of the information will be available for comment from August 20, 2025, to September 19, 2025.
