U.S. 422 Section M03 involves the total reconstruction of nearly one mile of U.S. 422 from approximately 2,370 feet west of the Keim Street overpass to approximately 100 feet west of the Schuylkill River Crossing No. 2 Bridge. This section of U.S. 422 is located entirely in North Coventry Township, Chester County. Reconstruction of the Keim Street Bridge will provide 16’-6” of vertical clearance above U.S. 422. The bridge carrying U.S. 422 over Ramp GH (westbound on and off ramps) at the Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) Interchange will also be reconstructed. Improvements to U.S. 422 include an increase in the expressway’s horizontal radii to meet current design standards. Acceleration and deceleration lane lengths at the Keim Street and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) Interchanges will be improved to meet current design standards.
