The Route 309 at Center Valley Parkway Intersection Improvement Project involves safety and capacity improvements by converting the signalized at-grade intersection of Route 309 and Center Valley Parkway/West Saucon Valley Road to a grade-separated interchange. Also included are the construction of new signalized on/off ramp intersections with Center Valley Parkway and West Saucon Valley Road. Other work includes guide rail upgrades, drainage improvements, highway lighting, overhead signing and pavement marking upgrades.

Route 309 within the project area is a divided four lane Urban Principal Arterial Roadway that runs in the north-south direction and supports regional traffic. The project will be constructed using staged construction. Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Route 309 throughout construction.
