Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a single-lane restriction with one-way westbound traffic on a portion of Route 136 (West Newton Road) in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County is anticipated to begin Wednesday, February 12.
The structure carrying Route 136 (West Newton Road) over Pollock Run, located between Route 3023 (Coal Hollow Road) and Route 201 (Rostraver Road), will be restricted due to continuing deterioration. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane with westbound traffic only. Eastbound traffic will be detoured.
The eastbound detour will utilize Route 51, Route 201, and Route 136.
A replacement project for the structure is currently in construction with contractor Ligonier Construction Company. Preliminary construction activities are currently occurring, and a full closure is anticipated to occur by early April, depending on weather and operations.
