    Niantic Road over West Branch of Perkiomen Creek Bridge Replacement

    The project will replace the existing bridge that carries Niantic Rd, over the West Branch of Perkiomen Creek. The existing structure is a double-span, 58-foot-long bridge built in 1931 and is currently posted with a 31-ton single (40-ton combined) weight limit.

    The new structure will be built on a similar horizontal alignment as the existing one. As part of the bridge replacement, it will be widened slightly to accommodate the current design criteria, and the guide rail will be replaced.

    Niantic Road will be detoured during construction. The bridge is in poor condition overall and has weight restrictions posted.
