This project aims to provide a safe, efficient alignment of Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Moore Road and Vandenburg Road while providing for future development in the area.

The proposed construction for this project includes:

  • Realigning and reconstructing Route 23 between Moore Road and Vandenburg Road.
  • Widening Route 23 to provide 2 westbound lanes between Moore Road and Vandenburg Road and to provide an eastbound left-turn lane at Mancill Mill and Biedler Roads (SR 3029).
  • Construct a new bridge over Trout Creek and remove the existing bridge.
  • Installing traffic signals at the Route 23/Mancill Mill Road and Route 23/Biedler Road intersections.
  • Constructing sidewalks along PA 23 within the project area as well as along the west side of Mancill Mill Road.​
