Route 30 Lincoln Highway Bridge Improvement Begins Next Week in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a scheduled single-lane restriction on eastbound Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 2043 (Darlington Rector Road) and westbound Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County, beginning Monday, April 14.

Anticipated through early September, crews from J.F. Shea Construction will improve the bridge carrying eastbound Route 30 over Loyalhanna Creek – an infrastructure investment of $2.1 million.

The scope includes replacing the bridge joints, applying a full latex overlay, encasing the existing viaduct piers, reconstructing drainage, and repairing the existing barrier fencing. All work depends on weather and operations.

Be alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
