PennDOT District 3 District Office to Temporarily Close for Safety Upgrades

Montoursville, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Engineering District 3 Office at 715 Jordan Avenue will be closed to employees and the public starting on Monday, December 30, 2024, through February 2026, while the building undergoes significant safety upgrades and renovations.

The upgrades include the removal of the remaining asbestos in the building, installation of a fire suppression system, installation of energy efficient windows and other facility improvements.

While this location will be physically closed to the public, employees assigned at this location will be working at alternate locations during the office closure and responding to phone calls, e-mails, and off-site meetings.  Hard copy mail will also continue to be processed. 

Additional notification will be sent when the building will reopen.

The original brick building was built in the early 1950s and the addition was constructed in 1996.
