Public Meeting and Plans Display for Route 2001 (Oak Dale Road) Bridge Replacement over Laurel Creek, Elk Lick Township, Somerset County, Scheduled for May 13

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is developing plans for the Route 2001 (Oak Dale Road) Bridge Replacement over Laurel Creek, Elk Lick Township, Somerset County. The project will involve the replacement of the existing steel I-beam bridge with a new precast concrete box culvert, minimal approach roadway work, and a detour to direct traffic around the project site.

For those interested in learning more about this project, a public meeting and plans display is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department Banquet Hall at 385 Ord Street, Salisbury, PA 15558. The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project.    

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone having special needs or requiring special aid is asked to contact the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation prior to the meeting.
